Station Tips

BE SURE TO GET THE FULL EXPERIENCE!

I spent a GREAT deal of time getting artwork to share with you.  These pictures are displayed on our website and change as the songs change. There is also information about artists and/or songs.  But you can’t see this unless you’re connected to our website AND LoudCity to hear the broadcast.  Once you are listening, you must “open” another Internet window to “browse”, “surf” or do anything while you’re simultaneously listening to the station. If you mistakenly leave LoudCity, you break the connection. LoudCity, doesn’t display ALL the information I am trying to share with you at the website. So if you’d like some background info, whether the song charted, bubbled, is a flip side, and perhaps a picture of the artist or group, you have to “open” another window and go back to our website. Of course, you’ll have to do that to do anything else like retrieving email. My suggestion is this. While listening, if you hear a song you’re curious about, in your SECOND or OTHER available Internet “window” check back to our website to get the the information. If you’re listening, or have compiled a list of songs you’re curious about, simply ask me about it in an email, directed to chuck@songsyoushouldhavheard.com.

ACCESS PROBLEMS

Help! I can’t get to your website http://songsyoushouldhaveheard.com

Like EVERYONE on the Internet, our Web Host is sometimes down, due to a problem or scheduled maintenance. You can always listen to the station DIRECTLY by going to: http://community.loudcity.com/stations/tunedex-memories

If you reach LoudCity but you see a message that the station is NOT BROADCASTING, it’s either because our statistical relays on a specific LoudCity server are not functioning correctly, or our station server is down or the station software is corrupted. In either case, be patient and check back periodically. Our station software sometimes “stalls” or closes down after I add new songs to the music library. And of course, the program just “hangs” from time to time due to Windows Vista. If I am working, I’m usually monitoring the station. If I’m away for some reason, nothing will happen until I return. Again, please be patient. Operating the station can be frustrating, but after raising four children, trust me, it’s a piece of cake by comparison!
